Richard F. Stern, Esquire, a Founding Partner of Stern & Eisenberg, P.C., Announces his Retirement After 60 Years in the Practice of Law.

Richard F. Stern

Stern & Eisenberg announces that Richard Stern has decided to retire.  Stern & Eisenberg is proud to honor Richard F. Stern’s 60 years of dedicated legal practice and to share an important transition within our firm. Below, we present messages directly from Dick and Steve, their reflections and words are shared exactly as written.

A Message from Dick Stern

I started at Cornell University, thinking I was going to be an engineer, but gravitated to liberal arts and eventually to law school at Penn. I began my solo practice in Jenkintown, PA with a very small office and an electric typewriter. Calculators and computers were unheard of, and AI was not even a dream. Needless to say the changes I have seen from technology and innovation have been nothing short of breathtaking. Teaming up with Steve, the son of my high school classmate, to form Stern & Eisenberg was great for both of us. So, from that small office, the firm now has over 5 locations and over 20 attorneys.

Law gave me the opportunity to help people and to watch their businesses grow. I have had a very varied and exciting practice, and it has been a constant learning experience. Getting to know clients, their families and business associates and appreciating that I helped them has been incredibly fulfilling. There is nothing like the practice of law to keep one’s mind sharp! I greatly value your trust and loyalty over the years. It has been my privilege to represent you. The firm has flourished because of its dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to its clients. I know the firm looks forward to continuing to assist you in any way it can.

A Message from Steve Eisenberg

Coincidentally, I also started at Cornell University, taking the foundational science courses for engineering before graduating with my degree in economics. I completed my law and MBA degrees at Temple University. I had the honor of presenting the Valedictorian speech at my MBA graduation. I started my career at a general practice law firm in Center City Philadelphia; my office had a view of City Hall.

In 2005 Dick offered me the opportunity to join his established firm; the decision to accept his offer has certainly changed my life for the better. As we celebrate Dick’s 60 years of practice, we are committed to providing everyone with the same attention to detail that you have come to expect from Dick. I, along with all of us at Stern & Eisenberg, the firm he founded, am grateful for everything Dick has done. We strive to maintain his traditions as he focuses on other endeavors, and we wish him well!

Steve
