About Renée Cohen
Ms. Cohen has been licensed since 2009 in NJ and PA. She started her career as a law clerk serving for the 2009-2010 court year for the Honorable Michael A. Guadagno, J.S.C. As a law clerk, Ms. Cohen drafted opinions, tentative decisions, and researched several areas of law and matters of first impression.
She learned how the court views cases from behind the bench, which has become an asset to her practice. After completing her clerkship, Ms. Cohen practiced as a civil litigator in various firms in the Greater Philadelphia Area concentration in the areas of Creditors Rights, Personal Injury, Family and Commercial Law.
Prior to entering the practice of law, Ms. Cohen worked for several years in medical research and clinical trials, her scientific background has provided Ms. Cohen with a keen ability to spot gaps in logic, pay close attention to details, and the ability to work with clients, colleagues, and adversaries from all avenues of life.
Ms. Cohen joined Stern & Eisenberg in October of 2018 and concentrates her practice in New Jersey Residential Mortgage Foreclosure. Outside of her practice. Ms. Cohen is an active member of her community serving on the executive board of the Holmesburg Civic Association and elected to the 64th Ward Democratic Committee in Philadelphia for the 2018-2022 term.
She lives in Northeast Philadelphia with her husband and their young son. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, hiking, and traveling.
