About Anthony Selbe, Esquire
Anthony has a diverse legal practices portfolio with over 10 years of extensive experience. He started his career working in the corporate legal department of a Fortune 500 Oil & Gas Company in Oklahoma City. Anthony observed how this large organizational structure yielded successes at all levels. Anthony’s development as an attorney grew from the valuable interactions between departments and professions, working with diverse teams, including geologists, engineers, lawyers, land professionals, and executives. Anthony strongly believes “the practice of law between lawyer and client should always be collaborative”. Anthony’s experience as an equity owner of a Pittsburgh oil and gas services company was instrumental in defining his philosophical approach to advising clients on business decisions. Anthony focuses on being mindful of consequences, while having a firm grasp of how financial bottom lines affect legal decisions, and vice versa. Because of this, Anthony makes it a point to understand the intricacies of each client’s market and business dealings. Anthony carries practical knowledge into the general practice of law in both state and federal courts. He has successfully litigated cases ranging from commercial and residential real estate disputes to multi-million-dollar divorce actions to contentious custody and parental rights disputes. Anthony discovered that at the heart of every case is basic human emotion – fears, desires, hopes, and aspirations – and that if you can drill down to this level, for all parties involved, you’ll have a clear path towards a strategic outcome, whether by settlement or full-on litigation. Based upon this principle, Anthony has found a considerable amount of success in all aspects of legal practice: transactional, litigation, and appeals. He enjoys a holistic approach to persuasion and advocacy, whether it be through well-drafted pleadings in appellate matters or oral advocacy in the courtroom. Anthony is a native of Nicholas County, West Virginia. He lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Anthony is licensed to practice in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia state courts, all federal districts in West Virginia, and the federal Western District of Pennsylvania.
